MEET OUR STAFFSherry SaginawSherry is the owner of Get Grip Fitness, LLC. She began as a I.S.S.A. certified personal trainer and opened Get A Grip in Keego Harbor with than partner Brad Devon. "More and more I started adding Pilates to my client workouts until I decided to turn Get A Grip into a New York Style Pilates Studio." Devon and Saginaw split and Get A Grip opened in the Powerhouse Gym/ West Bloomfield as a fully equiped and certified Pilates Studio. "Pilates is truly for every body." say Saginaw. "It works the whole body from head to toe. Younger kids benifit from Pilates by teaching them to work from the core for less injuries through their more active years, athletes love the challenge that Pilates can add to their fitness program and from improving imbalances that come from over working some muscles and others not enough, older clients benifit from the theraputic aspects of Pilates giving them a work out that has less impact and stress on the body and maintains or improves a strong flexible spine." Sherry is a business member of the PMA, Pilates Method Alliance, dedicated to maintaining the Pilates Principles through the education and certification of Instructors. "We plan to start a teaching program here at the Get A Grip Studio next year."

I love the feedback I get from my clients on how Pilates makes them look and feel. Many clients have come to a training session with tight muscles, headaches and backaches; they leave feeling flexible, strong and rejuvenated. Pilates is truly an exercise regime that you can do throughout your lifetime. Pilates allows you to work out without wearing out." |
