At Get A Grip Fitness, we work with all kinds of sports fanatics and all rave about the improvements they see after just a few Pilates sessions. Athletes of all kinds come to the studio to gain core strength and flexibility.

Pilates is strength training and conditioning. It tones muscles and teaches the muscles how to work together for greater efficiency of movement. Pilates teaches proper alignment, improves balance and coordination and therefore, helps prevent injury. Pilates will improve your overall muscle tone, increase your flexibility, and improve your technique. Basically, Pilates is a great complement to any sport.

Some exercise regimes are based on isolating muscles and working each area of the body individually rather than treating the body as the integrated whole it is. The poor physical condition many of us are in today comes from the imbalance of engaging in complicated inefficient exercising that isolates certain body parts while neglecting others. If our goal in exercising is to balance our bodies, improve circulation, reduce stress, improve endurance, look better, and feel great, then after 90 years Pilates has proven its ability to achieve all these things.
